Examples to open and adapt

Start with a working diagram. Open an example, make it your own and try the next feature.

Small starter models

Download a JSON file and choose Menu → Open local model…. The same files can be opened in the Revelation for Confluence editor and saved to a diagram attachment. Save current work before replacing the editing session.

ExampleWhat to try
Student service — C4Rename an element, reconnect an arrow and save/reopen.
Student service — two viewsSwitch between Overview and Application services; observe automatic placement without saved geometry.
Application check — BPMN LiteChange Pool/Lane and inspect the process bands.
Student service — ArchiMateRead Realization and Serving directions.
View a student record — SequenceFollow calls and returns in stored order.
Student enrolment — ERRead one-to-zero-or-many at both relationships.
Application completeness — FlowchartFollow the labelled Yes/No paths and return loop.

Browse larger reference models

In Revelation, choose Menu → Browse reference models…. Select a model and open it, then save your own working copy before changing it. The library includes architecture, process and domain examples; availability follows the deployed app's reference-model catalogue.

The Revelation for Confluence editor does not include this browser. Open a reference model in Revelation and download JSON, then open the file in a new Confluence diagram if you want to use it there.

University examples

The university ArchiMate model demonstrates focused perspectives over a much larger architecture. The student-journey BPMN model illustrates subprocesses, assessment and exception routes. These are modelling examples, not policy or regulatory advice for a particular institution. Check their assumptions before adapting them.

Keep an original

Retain the downloaded source and save your changes under a meaningful title. A screenshot is useful for discussion, but the JSON is what lets you continue editing.
