Documentation updates and known limits

See what these guides cover and check the current limits before planning your next model.

26 October 2026 — clearer introductions and example diagrams

The guides now use Revelation and Revelation for Confluence throughout. Both starting pages and the Revelation for Confluence quick start include an example diagram, and images load as soon as the page opens. Introductions focus on the tasks you can try next.

26 October 2026 — first documentation set

This edition introduces separate Revelation and Confluence quick starts, shared modelling guides, six notation examples, import/export guidance, Confluence macro and Rovo workflows, and support information. This is a documentation edition, not an announcement of a new application deployment.

Limits to keep in mind

  • Drag & Drop currently supports up to 300 systems and 400 interactions across the active model.
  • BPMN Lite is a supported subset, with no workflow execution engine or BPMN XML route in the current file menu.
  • ArchiMate does not enforce the entire metamodel relationship matrix.
  • Sequence Alternative and Parallel enclosures do not provide separate else/operand compartments.
  • ER field descriptions are properties, not a native database-column/SQL editor.
  • Confluence has no Revelation GitHub, reference-browser or Download/Export menu.
  • Explore changes are temporary; catalogue refresh depends on an editor viewing the page.
  • Rovo creates/updates attachments, not macros or views. Updates are not protected by an exclusive editing lock.

If your screen differs

Your deployment may be newer or older than the documented interface. Note the control or missing command and contact support with the app and action. Use the live Marketplace quote for commercial terms.
