During a review, you may want to follow a dependency beyond the view shown on the page. Explore gives you room to investigate. You can move things around for the discussion, then close it and leave the saved model as it was.
Open Explore
- Open a Confluence page containing a saved Revelation diagram.
- Select Explore in the diagram header.
- Use Fit and zoom to inspect a readable part of the model.
- Select a View or Layout, and move elements where the chosen layout allows it.
What you can try
Explore provides a full-screen canvas, layout and view controls, pan/zoom and interactive positioning. Radial exploration can help put a different system at the centre. The Drag & Drop size limit still applies.
What is kept
Positions and legend placement are temporary within this Explore session. They can remain while switching views or layouts in that session, but closing Explore discards them. Reset returns to the model as it was when Explore opened.
When you need Edit
Explore has no model-editing toolbar or table drawer and never saves back to the attachment. To rename an element, change a property or publish a new arrangement, close Explore and use Edit with the appropriate page permission.
Use Explore during a discussion when you want to investigate a model without affecting the author's saved presentation.
